About Python

Python was developed by Guido van Rossum in the eighties and early nineties at the National Research Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science in the Netherlands.It is a high-level, interactive, interpreted and object-oriented scripting language.It designed to be highly readable.It uses English keywords frequently whereas other programming languages use punctuation, and it has fewer syntactical construction than another programming languages.As Python is an interpreted language, here the program is processed at runtime by the interpreter.So, there is no need to compile the program before executing it.This is similar to PERL and PHP.Also, it is a great language for beginners and supports the development of a wide range of applications from simple text processing to WWW browsers to games.
